DO WE TAKE WALK INS?

We love walk-ins, however, all Facial and Vajacial services require an appointment. If you make an appointment for waxing and all other services, we can guarantee that you will be serviced on time. We are sort of a big deal and casually walk ins tend to have a wait, but we do have complimentary water, wine, mimosas, great music, and great products to shop from while you wait.

CAN I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE WITH A GIFT CARD?

No. if you have purchased or received a gift card you will have to call to set up an appointment.

I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT, WHAT DO I DO?

Canceling/Rescheduling an appointment is easy! You can do so from your confirmation email.

HOW OFTEN CAN I RECEIVE FACIALS?

A classic, mini, or back facial you can receive as often as once a week. Dermaplaning facials can only be preformed 4-6 weeks apart.

IF I HAVE ACNE CAN I GET A DERMAPLANING FACIAL?

Unfortunately, if you have acne you will not be able to receive this service, but you can get a classic or mini facial.

HOW MUCH HAIR DO I NEED TO GET WAXED?

Two weeks of hair growth is usually the minimum amount of time needed for proper length of hair.  Do not shave or trim the hair prior to your appointment.  If the hair is too short the wax will not be able to grab onto the hair and you will not be able to get waxed.

CAN I GET WAXED IF I’M HAVING MY PERIOD?

Yes! You can receive a wax during your menstrual, however please be advised this is a sensitive time for the body and waxes often feel more uncomfortable,  you may experience more discomfort than usual. We also ask that you wear a new, clean tampon during your service.

CAN I BE WAXED WHILE PREGNANT?

We love pampering our new mommy’s! Besides after a while you have a hard time reaching all your areas so let us help you out. You can most definitely get waxed while you’re pregnant. However, you may experience more skin sensitivity due to the hormonal changes your body is going through. Our Waxperts will make sure you are as comfortable as possible during the service. We do not wax past 8 months.

MY SKIN IS IRRITATED, CAN I GET A WAX?

We will not perform services on skin that appears irritated or unhealthy. Waxing will only make matters worse. It’s best for you and your Waxpert that you wait until your skin has completely healed before waxing.

MY CHILD WANTS TO START WAXING, IS THAT OK?

Children receiving a wax service in their pre teen/teen years is completely normal, and the age your child starts their waxing journey is completely up to you, the parent. We do require guests under 16 to have parental consent for any wax service.

CAN I GET WAXED IF I’M TAKING MEDICATION?

Waxing and prescribed medication do NOT always go hand in hand. It’s imperative that you inform our front desk receptionist of any medication you are taking. We can still wax you if your using certain prescribed creams such as Retin-A, etc, but we strongly advise that you discontinue use 7 days prior to your appointment and do not resume use until seven days after your wax. We will NOT wax you if you are on Accutane or have been in the past 6 months. Waxing on Accutane is very dangerous and will require a doctor's approval in order to be serviced by us.

DO I HAVE TO REMOVE MY PIERCINGS TO GET WAXED?

Yes! We recommend that you remove your piercing for the best wax experience. If you prefer not to remove your piercing, the Waxpert will work around it but may leave a few hairs that are too close to touch.

WHY AM I GETTING INGROWN HAIRS?

Some people are prone to ingrown hairs regardless of how well they take care of their skin. In this case a skincare regimen is needed. Using a professional grade product, exfoliating at least 3 times a week, and practicing proper hair removal will treat and prevent ingrown hairs.

WILL WAXING GET RID OF MY HYPERPIGMENTATION?

Waxing will help reverse hyperpigmentation, dark spots, & uneven skin because it is a form of exfoliation, however reversing damaged skin takes consistent treatment. Hyper pigmented skin should also be treated with professional products immediately upon damage and thereafter. The longer the skin goes untreated the longer it will take to reverse.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET WAXED?

Because the hair growth cycle is 28 days, typically you should get waxed every 4 weeks, however your waxpert will assess your hair and give you specific instructions according to your hair type and growth. Facial waxes and underarm waxes are sometimes preformed every 2 weeks.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HARD WAX AND SOFT WAX?

Hard wax is first applied as a liquid. It goes on the skin a lot thicker than soft wax, hardens after it cools off and creates it’s own strip.  Hard wax adheres to the hair not the the skin causing a more comfortable experience.  Soft wax is removed with a strip, it is usually more painful than hard wax because it adheres to the hair and skin. We do use both.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BRAZILIAN, FULL BIKINI, AND BIKINI LINE?

A Brazilian wax includes everything from front to back, including the butt strip. A Full Bikini is the exact same thing as Brazilian minus the butt strip. A Bikini Line is just the outer area, including the top of the vaginal area and the two sides. Typically everything that would be visible when wearing a bikini.

WHY SHOULD I WAX?

Waxing is one of the best ways to temporarily remove unwanted hair.  It is more effective than shaving because it removes the hair from the roots, not just the skin’s surface.  Over time hair regrows thinner and softer and takes longer to grow back.

DO WE WAX MEN?

Yes! Men can get their chest, face, back, stomach, etc waxed. But unfortunately, we do not offer manzillians for men.

CAN I SHAVE IN BETWEEN MY WAX APPOINTMENTS?

Waxing slows down and reduces hair growth.  Hair also grows much thinner thus making it easier to remove and less painful when waxed. Shaving just one time in between will negate all that is gained from waxing and can further irritate follicles which can cause ingrown hair.  So no we do not advise shaving in between.
